Ride to Remembrance 2026
72 hours | 05–08 November | In aid of The Royal British Legion
We’re back for year three.
What started with one bike, one pub and a simple idea has now grown into a very special community event.
Over the past two editions of Ride to Remembrance, our riders have covered 3,339 km, climbed 45,215 metres and, most importantly, raised £8,000 for the Poppy Appeal.
This November, we go again.
72 hours. One bike. One community.
For 72 continuous hours, our Zwift bike will keep moving here at The Cricketers Inn, with riders taking turns in 30-minute slots day and night.
You don’t need to be a serious cyclist. You don’t need to worry about speed, distance or power. It is simply about taking part, doing your half hour and helping us keep the wheels turning.
Every rider, every donation and every share helps us raise more for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Book Your Ride
Take a half-hour slot on our Zwift bike in the pub and add your effort to the total. All abilities welcome — it’s about participation and remembrance, not power or distance numbers
Donate - Just Giving
We’ve set up a JustGiving page for anyone who’d like to add Gift Aid, whether donating personally or via a business. This money will be counted in our total but will be donated to the central RBL poppy appeal
Donate - Direct
While JustGiving offers the ability to claim GiftAid this money goes to the central RBL collection. We are also collecting locally with all cash and card donations going directly to our local Itchen Valley branch of the RBL

Our kitchen will be open throughout, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. So book your ride and a table
Your Ride, Your Donation
We ask for a minimum donation of £10 per 30-minute riding slot.
That £10 helps make every ride count towards our fundraising total, but it is just a minimum. If you are able to give a little more, we would be incredibly grateful.
You can also support Ride to Remembrance without getting on the bike. Donations can be made online, with Gift Aid available where eligible, and we will also be collecting cash and card donations in the pub throughout the event.
Why we ride
There is something special about seeing the relay continue through the day and night.
Busy evenings, quiet early mornings and riders arriving to take over from someone they may never have met before.
One rider gets off. The next gets on. The wheels keep turning.
It is a simple challenge, but one with a very clear purpose: to come together as a community, remember those who have served and raise as much as possible for the Poppy Appeal.

Across the first two editions, the community has already raised £8,000 for the Poppy Appeal. With the support of local businesses, we believe we can take that even further.
